Autism Families Have Fun Too!

November 17, 2016 by Mica 2 Comments

I want to cordially invite you to take the time to have fun because we must balance the darkness with light. When our world is hard and busy, the best antidote is to play, to laugh, to love our families.

Yay!

If you’re reading this, I’d love to invite you to think of something joyful you can do with your entire family, or just your autistic child, with the sole purpose of having fun!

Here are a few resources from Autism Speaks that might be helpful if you’d like some ideas.

Have a fabulous week, thank you for reading, and please know you’re perfect right where you are!

Love and smiles,

Mica

We like to turn up the music loud and dance! Ice cream is a big hit, too. Oh, and board games. Love board games.

So. much. fun, thank you for sharing!!!!

I think we’ll have a dance party tonight, great idea. 🙂

For board games, we’ve been playing chess (not me, but the kids), cribbage, Apples to Apples, Scrabble with house rules, and the kids play Monopoly. I definitely have my limits with how long I can focus on a game. You’re awesome and thanks for sharing.
