Sending Love Out

Here I sit, still very messy and unable to comprehend the recent shooting tragedy in Connecticut. I have a seven-year-old son. I have a son with the blatant diagnosis of Asperger’s. And that’s all I got.

Imagining my seven year old being shot has flattened me. Seeing my other son all over the media highlighted as a potential hazard to our world . . . also flattened.

This quick post is to say to all of us: We are in this together. You are not alone. This is not easy for anyone at all, regardless of your age, race, demographic, location, or whatever your situation.

My hope is that the bare bottomed truth of our lives will start to come out. I feel that our truth will set us free. We’ll start to see where more help is needed. We’ll start to culminate more compassion for those who are different from us. We’ll start to see our oneness as opposed to our separateness.

I send this in love and in hope, all while I am flattened on the ground.
